AI technology is rapidly transforming the media landscape, igniting an unprecedented surge in music and video creation. Every day, platforms like Twitter X overflow with fresh content—from innovative music videos to captivating short films. This burst of creativity is driving an increase in competitions, contests, and festivals, all calling for more groundbreaking content. We are at the forefront of a revolutionary change in how digital media creations are produced and showcased.
But where does all this content ultimately go? Many creators turn to social media platforms like Twitter X, YouTube, and Kick, vying for likes, hearts, and reposts. But what tangible benefits do those metrics offer? These platforms often lack transparency, obscuring how royalties are distributed or how content is utilized. Confronted with these challenges, we sought a better solution. When we couldn’t find one, we created it.
Our First Royalty Settlement
We are thrilled to announce the completion of our first royalty settlement. On June 28th, we re-launched our channel stream on the AI Music and Video Channel with content tagged with NEXARTIS Split Sheet technology. By June 30th, we had amassed $83 in our treasury from a total of 3,240 minutes of streaming. Our Ecosystem Governance Framework, detailed at the Open Commercial Media Ecosystem (OCME), explains our royalty distribution model, which allocates 60% of the treasury to creators, 20% to curators, and 20% to technology support, ensuring a system that rewards creators transparently and effectively.
The reactions from our participating creators to the announcement of our first settlement were truly inspiring. Dan Dawson shared that this was “the happiest money he had ever made.” Dezknoph received praise from his mom, “I am so proud you’re making money with your art.” These personal stories underscore the profound impact and validation our platform provides to creators, fueling their passion and recognizing their contributions to the digital media space.
